What is AR 15? Why AR 15 is now Ban in USA?

    What is AR 15
    What is AR 15

The AR-15 is a semi-automatic rifle that is popular in the United States. It is a civilian version of the military’s M16 rifle and has been widely used by civilians for hunting, sport shooting, and self-defense.

The AR-15 is a lightweight rifle that is easy to use and maintain. It has a modular design that allows users to customize it with different accessories and parts, such as scopes, grips, and magazines. It is also known for its accuracy, reliability, and ease of use.

However, the AR-15 has also been at the center of controversy due to its use in several mass shootings in the United States. Critics argue that the rifle’s high-capacity magazines and rapid-fire capabilities make it too lethal and easy to use for mass shootings. Proponents of the AR-15 argue that it is a legitimate tool for self-defense and recreational shooting, and that the focus should be on addressing the underlying issues that lead to gun violence rather than targeting a specific firearm.

So, the AR-15 is a controversial rifle that has been at the center of the ongoing debate around gun control and the Second Amendment in the United States.

The AR-15 is a semi-automatic rifle that is known for its modular design, accuracy, and ease of use. Here are some of its key features:

    1. Modular design: The AR-15 has a modular design that allows users to customize it with different parts and accessories. This modularity has made the AR-15 a popular platform for customization and experimentation. Users can add or remove features such as handguards, stocks, grips, triggers, and barrels, which can change the rifle’s appearance, functionality, and performance.
    2. Lightweight and easy to use: The AR-15 is a lightweight rifle that is easy to use and maintain. Its lightweight design makes it easy to carry and maneuver, especially in tight spaces or outdoor environments. Its simple controls and easy-to-use charging handle make it an attractive option for novice and experienced shooters alike.
    3. High accuracy: The AR-15 is known for its high accuracy, which is due in part to its modular design. Users can customize the rifle’s barrel, trigger, and optics to optimize its accuracy for specific applications, such as long-range shooting or hunting.
    4. High-capacity magazines: The AR-15 can accept high-capacity magazines that can hold up to 30 rounds of ammunition. This has made the rifle controversial in the United States, as critics argue that its high-capacity magazines make it too lethal and easy to use for mass shootings.
    5. Semi-automatic: The AR-15 is a semi-automatic rifle, which means that it fires one round of ammunition each time the trigger is pulled. This is different from automatic rifles, which fire continuously as long as the trigger.

The state of Washington has prohibited the sale of AR-15 rifles, stating that there is no justification for their sale other than for use in mass shootings.

Washington State has become the tenth state in the United States to prohibit the sale of assault weapons.

In response to recent gun violence in the nation, Governor Jay Inslee of Washington State signed three gun safety bills into law on Tuesday, one of which bans the sale of semiautomatic rifles, including the AR-15. Governor Inslee referred to these weapons as “weapons of war” and stated that their sole purpose is to cause mass murder by killing humans as rapidly as possible in large numbers.

Governor Inslee of Washington also signed two other gun safety bills. One bill enacts a 10-day waiting period for gun purchases, while the other allows for gunmakers and sellers to be held liable for negligent sales. With the passage of these bills, Washington joins other states with Democratic trifectas in taking concrete steps to address gun violence, such as Michigan which recently passed universal background checks and safe storage laws.

The need for such legislation is underscored by the ongoing gun violence plaguing the country, with at least 173 mass shootings occurring in the United States this year alone. These incidents range from individual acts of violence to larger-scale mass shootings, such as the recent school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, and the bank shooting in Louisville, Kentucky.

While Democrats continue to push for gun reform, Republicans have largely opposed these efforts and remain aligned with the National Rifle Association (NRA). However, Governor Inslee stated that the state of Washington cannot afford to be inactive on the issue of gun violence, even if the bills passed do not solve all the problems.
